With Spring right around the corner, I’m on a mission to brighten up our home and of course my wardrobe (in case you missed it, I recently lost 20lbs and shared my favorite affordable finds…all under $35… in this post, including this cotton dress, that I love so much, I purchased in multiple colors!). So, while my wardrobe is getting a mini makeover for Spring, it only feels fitting that our house does as well. And that brings me to this space.
Wearing multiple hats since we moved into this house, this small sunroom, sits off the living and kitchen space. Originally it served as my twin’s playroom, then become a nursery last year for Baby B. For the longest time, the twins have been begging for Baby B to be moved into their room, we agreed once we felt like sleeping schedules were more consistent. So right before Thanksgiving we moved Baby B in with the twins and transitioned this space into our dining nook. During the holidays, it was decked out in greenery and lit with our Christmas Tree. It was a magical little spot that we’ve all come to enjoy. That said, after the holidays, and once all the greenery came down, it quickly became quite sad and lacking of warmth and coziness. So, to brighten up this space again, and to make it an area of our home that’s welcoming, I’ve been eyeing affordable things online to turn this space into the cozy little nook I know it has the potential to be.
I love the idea of turning this into an interior greenroom, with living plants to brighten it up. These hanging planters would add height and texture to the room. And this modern ceramic vase will be ideal for all those fresh cut flower bouquets I hope to grow this Spring! This planter adds great texture and this planter a bit of whimsy (my kids would love this!). I’m obsessed with these neutral stools, so similar to other very pricey ones I’ve been eyeing! (Keep in mind, the stools are currently unavailable online, more inventory is expected, but I did see these in store.) This abstract art would modernize our space without being too bold. And of course this linen pillow adds the right amount of color and lends a softening touch to the entire space.
So, what do you think? Am I on the right track to brighten and warm up this space?! Tell me in the comments below what Spring Makeovers you’re hoping to accomplish.
