Today marks the first day of March and with Spring and summer just around the corner, I’m all too excited to add new warm weather pieces to my wardrobe! After losing 20 pounds (you can read the start of that journey here) I’ve been on the hunt for classic yet fun pieces to add color and fun to my wardrobe. With retailers beginning to drop their new designs, and Spring Break right around the corner, I thought I’d share my top 10 finds from this week with you - especially after all your amazing feedback from this post! So, to get to it, here’s the 10 items I’m currently loving right now for Spring & Summer!
After last weeks post on affordable fashion finds, I was thrilled to come across another awesome 100% cotton dress! This white one comes in at just $30 and has a tiered silhouette with sleeves. Hands down this is a dress that looks better on, than hanging on the hanger! Proving to never judge a book by its cover. Made of poplin, it is way more sheer than this white dress we all loved from last week’s finds, but when worn with a slip, it too is a great affordable white dress option! Runs true to size, I’m wearing a Medium. And for my expecting friends, this is a bump friendly option, possibly buy up a size for extended wear.
And for all of you so kindly inquiring about how I get my waves…it’s from this affordable curling wand. Heats up quickly, and it’s tapered design gives loose beachy waves. I curl my hair in sections, curling back from my face. Spray with this finishing hairspray, then comb out using this AWESOME comb (just $3).
Forever a skirt fan, however the older I get the harder it is to find flattering options. That’s why when I came across this skirt, I jumped for joy! It’s asymmetric cut and wrap skirt construction is possibly the most flattering skirt I’ve ever worn! The subtle stripes running vertically paired with ruffles in addition to a duel color tone - bright pink stripes in the front, raspberry colored stripes in the back (you catch a glimpse of that in the bottom right corner of the skirt above) make this skirt a flattering a fun addition! And while this skirt has a lot going on, paired with a neutral cami (loving this affordable one shown above,$18) and/or a denim jacket makes this skirt a perfect option for dinners out or vacations abroad! Skirt runs true to size. I’m wearing a Medium.
When it comes to tops, I’m always looking for interesting, unique pieces. And this cotton one with embroidered detail is exactly that! While an investment piece, this is a wardrobe item you can easily wear in Spring & Fall alone or under a blazer and in the summer with shorts. Runs true to size, I’m wearing a Medium.
Another affordable dress find. This cotton dress is right at $35. Looks best steamed or pressed, and would be a good addition for an office wardrobe. For those with Spring Break and vacation plans ahead, this dress is a good evening out option sans belt, worn more in a kaftan style. Runs true to size to slightly big,. I stayed with my typical Medium.
When it comes to my weekly mom style…Liberty printed tops over jeans are an easy go-to! And this fun floral print (currently 29% off!) with yellow eyelet details will cheer up any carpool lane! Runs true to size. I’m in a Medium.
Speaking of Liberty Prints, anytime I find a good one in dress form I scoop it up! This dress (currently 29% off!), while another investment piece, is one I will wear October-Spring here in Atlanta. Running true to size (possibly size up for the bust), I’m wearing a size 6 above.
Another liberty print find! This one has already gotten plenty of use from me! This blue floral print (small white daisy like flowers) is 100% cotton, lightweight and washes like a dream. These blouses are on weekly repeat for errands, play dates or anything else that parenting life brings! True to size, I’m wearing a Medium.
I can’t wait for warmer days to wear this printed shirt dress! Made of 100% cotton it’s floral print pops and is the perfectly ‘modest’ short dress cut for my 5’5” height. Keep in mind it does run large and therefore easily boxy. Size down for a proper fit. I’m wearing a size Small.
If you’re thinking “is this THE dress?!”. Yes, this is the same amazing dress most of you loved from last week! This “burgundy” color just arrived and because it turned out to be more of a deeper plum color than that shown on the website, I just had to share it here! Again, this dress, available in 5 color options (hurry, because select colors and sizes are selling out)… at $35 in 100% thick cotton, this dress is worth getting in multiple color options! Runs true to size, I’m wearing a medium.
And last but not least, possibly my favorite purchase from last fall and currently on sale, is this bold, floral top! I’m constantly stopped and asked about it when out and about and it’s 100% cotton fabric makes this the perfect all season piece!
Well there ya go! My top 10 fashion finds this week. Which are your favorite? Like always you know I love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! Happy March Friends!
